Janie Tomlin Obituary

She was predeceased by: her brother James Lockridge. She is survived by: her siblings, Patricia Shannon, Thomas Lockridge and Joy Lockridge; and her grandchildren, Roy Phillip Tomlin and Lucinda Erin Tomlin. She is also survived by her family, particularly her children and grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Marrs Jones Newby Funeral Home (505 Old Austin Hwy, Bastrop, TX 78602). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Her commitment to community well-being extended beyond her professional work; Janie volunteered for 18 years with the American Cancer Society and Reach to Recovery, through which she supported fellow survivors as a breast cancer survivor herself.
