He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Helmuth Eckhardt and Dora Bernice Hosea Eckhardt; his wife LeAnn Ross Eckhardt; his brother Richard Eckhardt; and his father-in-law Jack Ross.
He is survived by: his children, Hans Eckhardt, Timothy Eckhardt (Aimee), Stephanie Tipps (George) and Gretchen McLain (Clint); his brother Mike Eckhardt (Patty); his mother-in-law Malissie Ross; and his sisters-in-law, Jackie Glancy, Angela Parker and Cynthia Holden. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
