He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Lee West and Dorothy Faye Johnson West; and his brother Robert Wayne West. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Jo West; his children, Patrick West, Michael West (Rebecca) and Starla Haugenater (Nolan); his grandchildren, Trinity Spurlock, Barrett Turruviate, Aubrie Turruviate and Bella West; and his siblings, Brenda Basham, Arthur Ray West (Ann), Kenneth West (Ann) and Larry West (Joanna). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorial donations to Shriners Children's in Gary's honor, continuing his commitment to helping children and families in need.
