With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Hazel Vander-Ploeg of Baytown, Texas, who passed away on July 7, 2025 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Largent and Nellie Largent; her husband Cornelius Vander-Ploeg; and her siblings, Helen Gregerson, Hobart, Herbert, Harold, Hershel and Herman Largent.
She is survived by: her daughters, Diane Anderson of Baytown and Carol Wargel of Richmond, Texas; her grandchildren, Michael Wargel of Chandler, Arizona and Mary Santina (Mark) of Richmond, Texas; her great grandchildren, Hannah and Zeina Santina; and her niece Marlene Gregerson.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Navarre Funeral Home (2444 Rollingbrook Dr, Baytown, TX 77521). A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
