He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Alan William Sheppard and Gertrude Werntz; his wife Mary Monaghan; his sons, Alan Jr. (Gina), Charles (Jay), Thomas and Robert (Helen); his granddaughter Sammie Sheppard (Jason); his sons, Andie Chamberlain (Max) and Maddie Sheppard; and his great grandchildren, Herschel, Charlie, Ada and Chamberlain. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, colleagues, and friends.
