With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bernadine Thomas of Beaumont, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 25, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry King and Sarah Thomas; and her brothers, Bernell Thomas, Ottice King Thomas, Matthew Thomas, David King Thomas and Joe Nathan Thomas.

She is survived by: her children, Woodrow Stevenson Jr. (Cheryl), Sarah Elaine Keller (Henry Lee), Bernadette Jackson, Joanna Smith (Morris Jr), Janelle Ramsey (Hayward Sr) of Joseph, Deidre Scypion (Raymond), Rev. Sebastian Stevenson Sr. (Donna) and Y. Pearl Jessie (Albert); her grandchildren, Royce D. Wilkins and Y'Hnoree D. Foster; and her sisters, Pearl Jean Sanders, Patty Jean Lee, Sarah Joyce Sampson and Lillie Ruth Lyons. She is also survived by her 26 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, 12 great, great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Despite a late in life diagnosis of Alzheimer's, Mother Stevenson would come alive upon hearing anything related to Gospel, especially the Spoken Word of one of her favorites: Bishop G. E. Patterson.

“I was never a visitor in the home of Mrs.Bernadine, I was privileged with a wonderfully tasting Thanksgiving holiday dinner. It was definitely cooked with much love. Everything was superbly delicious. She was a beautiful lady and a great Master in the kitchen. She will be missed by her family and her church members. May she rest in PEACE. Family, be ever so prayerful. May GOD bless you ,each and everyone. 🙏🥀”
