David Appleby wrote a sympathy message

“I bought my first car from Bobby since mid 1980's and my last one in 2017 and a dozen or more in-between. Never considered buying from anyone else. The last time I saw Bobby he had just retuned to work after being off sick. I had just stopped by to say hello. He and I and my wife sat in the lobby there at the Dealership and chatted. I asked how he was doing and he told me then he hoped he was on the road to recover but really wasn't feeling it. I told him that we were both getting older and I think I've probably bought my last car from you . . . little did I know. Bobby, I am going to miss you and I'll be praying for your family. But like we talked that day at the end of last year "we" were getting older. My friend I'll see you on the other side of Jordan and by the Lord's leave maybe we'll do a little fishing. God bless the Jones family . . . just remember next to Jesus you guys were his heart. Your preacher friend David Appleby.”
