Cathryn Rutledge Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cathryn Rutledge (Beaumont, Texas), who passed away on February 19, 2026 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Zolan Berson Thornton and Lucille Thornton (Majors) of Lumberton, Texas; her brothers, Jimmy Bert Thornton of Wildwood and Glen Harold Thornton (Shirley Thornton); her nephews, Andy and Austin Thornton of Wildwood; and her niece Glynda Thornton Anderson of Fannett.

She is survived by: her husband Gary Lynn Rutledge of Lumberton; her children, Wendy Leigh Weymouth Ward of Deer Park and John Rutledge (Diana) of Silsbee; and her grandsons, Colin Dayne Ward (Bekah) of Kingwood and Gavin Reece Ward of Deer Park.
