He was predeceased by: his father George Edward Tatum; his stepfather John Chavis; and his brothers, Lawrence Harrison and Mitchell Whittie. He is survived by: his mother Christobelle Spikes Chavis; his children, Charles Harrison, Jr., Jakyri Hoeory and Khasaundra Shaw (Chadrick) of Silsbee, Texas; and his siblings, Belinda Wilson of Cedar Hill, Johnetta Taylor (Larry) of Mansfield, Lou Stanley of Beaumont, Maurice Harrison of Beaumont, Richard Chavis of Beaumont, Corey Chavis of Beaumont, Kenneth Chavis (Venus) of Beaumont and Craig Sigarst (Sondra) of China, Texas. He is also survived by four grandchildren; along with a multitude of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
