He is survived by: his wife Janet Griffin of Beaumont; his sons, James McCarter of Beaumont and Ray Damone Williams of Buffalo, NY.; his brother Joseph Griffin, Jr.; and his grandchildren, Joshua Nixon, Cori McCarter, Jordon McCarter, Latoya Barton and Akera Reed. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
