We are sad to announce that on October 4, 2025, at the age of 71, Darlene Smith of Beaumont, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Darlene leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnny P. Maurich and Bobbie R. Maurich (Miller); and her daughter Tasha Smith. She is survived by: her siblings, Persia Eddings, Sharon Hakey (David), Johnny Maurich (Cindy) and Teddy Maurich (Tina); her grandson Joseph Cain; and her great grandchild Cooper Cain. She is also survived by numerous other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family members, and cherished friends.
