She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Simon, Sr. and Rosalia Simon; her son Joseph Sonnier; and her sister Loretta May Lewis. She is survived by: her children, Tyra Evans, Necole Sonnier and Daryl Sonnier; and her siblings, Vanella Simon, Melody Simon, Walter Lee Simon, Andrew Lewis and Allen Lewis. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
