She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Moore and Ann Bottoms Moore; her husband Laurent "Axie" Melancon; her daughter Gay Lynn Kurth; and her siblings, Ralph Lamar Moore and Norma Moore.
She is survived by: her sons, Rickey Melancon (Leila) of Lumberton and Kent Melancon of Dallas; her grandchildren, Tanner Melancon (Jill) of Houston, Jacob Melancon (Paula) of Houston, Collin Kurth (Stacey) of Dallas and Koene Tangredi of San Marcos; and her great grandchildren, Molly Melancon, Charlie Melancon, Michael Melancon, Natalie Kurth, Micah Kurth, Ryanne Kurth, Averie Kurth, Trystyn Castillo and Dyllyn Castillo. She is also survived by three great great grandchildren.
