She was predeceased by: her parents, Armantine Batiste and Joseph Batiste; her stepmother Regina Batiste; and her siblings, Jimmy, Rogers, Elvina, Larry, Ella, Ethel, Helen, Leroy, Elsie Marie and Catherine.
She is survived by: her husband Samuel Hayward; her children, Sara Oglesby, Joyce Marie Gale (Va'Shon), Zenna Giles, Samuel Hayward Jr. and Kevin Hayward; and her grandchildren, Ashley Pelican (Jeremey), Sha'Quanda Hayward, Tori Booker, Chad Thomas, Steven Oglesby, Robin Hayward, Kiana Gale, Curtis Booker Jr., Kacie Giles, Malik Gale, Kevin Giles, Kevin Hayward, Samiyah Hayward, Christian Hayward and Jordan Hayward. She is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren, three god-children, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
