He was predeceased by: his parents, Phyllis Bosworth Venable and Ralph Venable; his brother Joe Venable; and his close friend Dave Henry. He is survived by: his siblings, Eddie Venable (Huiwen) of Waxhaw and Sandra Womack (Dave Williams) of Beaumont; his sister-in-law Jane Venable (Virginia) of Fredericksburg; his siblings' children, Christy and Jamie; his great-nephews, Cordell and Caleb; his great-niece AJ; and his close friend Katherine Campbell.
