He was predeceased by: his parents, Anderson and Gipson of Indiana; his wife Edna Gibson; his siblings, John Andrew Gibson, Gloria Delores Glover and Bert Gibson; his parents-in-law, Ernest and Lelia Chargois, Sr.; and his sisters, Louise Gibson, Curley Sr. (Laura Chargois Landry) and Ethel Segura (Ernest Chargois Jr.).
He is survived by: his daughters, Treynell Gibson and Valencia Gibson Fontenot; his son-in-law Gregory P. Fontenot; his granddaughters, Angela, Alayna and Sydni Fontenot; his great grandchild Cali Williams; and his friend Terry Holman, Sr..
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Cathedral of Faith Baptist Church (3755 Fannett Rd, Beaumont, TX 77705). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
