Though Irby may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Irby touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his wife Frances A. Wickliff-Thibodeaux; and his daughter Vita Thibodeaux. He is survived by: his sons, Irby J. Thibodeaux, Jr., Clayton Thibodeaux (Janie) and Michael Thibodeaux (Cynthia); and his sisters, Margaret Mouton, Mary Dean Hall and Gloria Zenn.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church (3390 Sarah St, Beaumont, TX 77701). A rosary was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 9:15 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at the Magnolia Cemetery (2291 Pine St, Beaumont, TX 77703).
