He was predeceased by: his brother Rex James Tucker; his brother-in-law Charlie Brown; and his nephew Mike Cotten. He is survived by: his wife Marie Tucker; his daughter Brenda Denson (Terry) of Lumberton; his grandchildren, Richard Denson, Jr. (Lan) of Austin and Ashleigh Denson of Lumberton; his great grandchildren, Ryder Denson, Margot Denson and Teddy Denson; his sister Yvonne Brown of Royce City; his sibling's children, Bill Brown (Diane), Debbie Cotten, Diahn Gibson, Dawn Davidson and Rex Tucker Jr.; and his great-niece Tanya Lambert.
