She was predeceased by: her parent Ova Carr; her former husband H. L. Brister; her husband Maxie J. LaBrie; her daughter Rea Bass; and her sister Virgie Burt.
She is survived by: her sons, Don Brister (Debbie), Reverend Mike Brister (Sissy) and Reverend Michael G. LaBrie (Michelle); her stepchildren, Jimmy LaBrie, Tommy LaBrie, Cindy LeJune and Cheryl Lemaire; her children, Jackie and Eric Whitmire; and her sister Billie Adams. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
