He was predeceased by: his wife Julie A. Sonnier; and his siblings, Hazel Courville and John L. Bell. He is survived by: his children, John Vanover (Kim) of Dallas, Keri Newberry (David) of Laporte and Amy Sonnier (Jared Fielder) of Port Neches; his brothers, Paul Sonnier (Janet) of Zavalla and Jerry Kirbow (Caroline) of Vidor; his grandchildren, Ashley Lara (Joshua), Kaitlyn Price (Dustin), Julie Sonnier and Joshua Sonnier; and his great grandchildren, Nolun Herod, Paeyton Lara, Jeremiah Lara, Luke Price and Jonah Lara. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
