He was predeceased by: his parents, Orlie Thibeaux and Laurice Catalon Thibeaux; and his siblings, Wallace, Earnest, Renard, Daffard, Curley, Lloyd, Eurie, Lovelace, Edna DeRouen and Leona Fusilier.
He is survived by: his wife Edna Bernard Thibeaux; his children, Phyllis Thibeaux Bland (William), Connie Thibeaux, Lakeita Thibeaux, Nelson Thibeaux, Jr. and Kimble Thibeaux; his grandchildren, Tiffanie Thibeaux, Alexis Vaults, Miranda Broussard Kierra Sellers, Kierstyn Sellers and Kameron Darkins; his great grandchildren, Taye Haywood, Nevaeh Irving, Jasmine Broussard, Makenzie Nolen, Averyana Broussard, Tyrin Thompson, Dannie Haywood, Loyal Haywood and Braylon Broussard; and his sisters-in-law, Ethel Thibeaux (Curley), Joyce Thibeaux (Lloyd) and Joyce Bernard Coleman. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
