The inurnment was held on Wednesday, September 10th 2003 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Franks Branch Church & Cemetery (21650 Farm to Market 92, Silsbee, Texas 77656).
Opal Mae McGallion Eddings, 69, of Beaumont, died Monday, September 8, 2003. He was born on March 16, 1934, in Silsbee, to Annie Ard McGallion and John Lee McGallion.
Opal Eddings was founder and Minister of Chapel in the Pines Pentecostal Church of Fred for over forty years.
Survivors include her children, Carolyn Morrow of Sour Lake; and Barbara Cole and her husband, Roy; of Kennewick, Washington; grandchildren, Michael Durr of Silsbee; Christie Deneen and her husband, Rob; Misty Benson; and Kimberly Lowry and her husband, Michael, all of Kennewick, Washington; and Heather Revia and her husband, Billy, of Sour Lake; great-grandchildren, Natalie Mahn and her husband, Evan, of Moses Lake, Washington; Cody Deneen and Cole Deneen, both from Kennewick, Washington; Amberlee Benson of Moses Lake, Washington; Hannah Benson and Braeden Benson, both of Kennewick, Washington; Denson Revia and Averie Revia, both of Sour Lake;and Emalyn Opal Lowry and Michael Wayne Lowry, both of Kennewick, Washington; and daughter-in-law, Denise Eddings of Silsbee.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of over fifty years, Elmer Eddings Sr.; son, Elmer Wayne Eddings Jr.; and son-in-law, Dalton Morrow.
A gathering of Opal Eddings' family and friends will begin at 4:00p.m., with his funeral service at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, September 11, 2003, at Broussard's, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. Her interment will follow at Franks Branch Cemetery, Fred.
