He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucious Johnson and Josephine Johnson; his wife Hattie Johnson; his son Chester; his brother Duke Johnson; and his grandson Charles R. Johnson, Jr..
He is survived by: his sisters, Ann McNeil of Beaumont and Mary Pace of Portland; his children, Charles Johnson (Donna) of Beaumont, Osbourne Jr. of Houston, Constance R. Johnson and Valencia Turner (David) of Beaumont; and his close friend Lucille Babino. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and one great grandson.
