He is survived by: his stepson Brent Smith (April) of San Antonio, Texas; his grandchildren, Kyle Smith and Skyler Smith; his siblings, Dianne Gardner (Paul) of Jasper, Texas and Dean Phillips (Sherry) of Jasper, Texas; and his nephew Kevin Gardner (Michelle) of Beaumont, Texas.
