He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Ellen Longoria and Frank Ramirez, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Ramirez; his children, Jamie Hernandez and Abdiel Galindo; his grandchildren, Ashley Henry, John Henry, Jr., Jesus Solis, Isaiah Nolan (Morgan), Nicole Hernandez, Analysia Hernandez, Nova Lee Hernandez and Lucy Nolan; and his siblings, Frank Ramirez Jr. (Dottie), Manuel Ramirez (Dede), Robert Ramirez, Daniel Ramirez, Frankie Ramirez, Lucy Ramirez, Francis "Kika" Ramirez, Irene Sotelo, Rose Ramirez, Mary Ramirez, Diana Gonzalez, Catherine Rodriguez (Jose) and Yolanda Ramirez. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
