We announce the death of Rita Bernita Fredieu of Beaumont, Texas, who passed away on August 2, 2026, at the age of 93. Rita will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dana Guillory and Leonard Lavergne; and her husband Huey Houlen Fredieu. She is survived by: her children, Larry Fredieu (Debbie) of Fannett, Charlotte Miller of Beaumont, Kenny Fredieu of Fannett and Melanie Trahan (Randy) of Beaumont; her granddaughter Christie Fredieu of Hamshire; her children, Brian Fredieu (Samantha) of Fannett, Blake Fredieu of Fannett, Lisa Lewis (Tyler) of Fannett, Heather Miller of Round Rock, Kyle Hays of Beaumont and Paul Trahan (Kristi) of Dickinson; and her great grandchildren, Noelle Fredieu, Clementine Fredieu, Esme Fredieu, Griffin Lewis, Kayden Fraser, Triniti Hays, Kullen Hays, Aiden Trahan and Kai Trahan. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
