He was loved and cherished by many people including: his sons, Reginald Allen, Sr. (Ofreda) and Reverend Byron Glenn Allen (Gloria) of Beaumont, Texas; and his sister Velma Cowling of Jefferson, Texas.
A public viewing will be held for Mr. Mathis from 12:00 noon until 5:00 pm on Friday, August 28, 2026 at Mercy Funeral Home Chapel and visitation on Saturday, August 29, 2026 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at the church, with the practice of social distancing and facial masks required.
