He was predeceased by: his father Wallace Debes, Sr.; and his brother Wallace Debes, Jr.. He is survived by: his mother Betty Jean Walker; his wife Nan Debes; his sons, Sam Debes III (Lauren Bush) and Stephen "Adam" Debes; his siblings, James Debes and Joanie Debes Hermann (Duwayne); and his siblings' children, Jason Hermann (Nickole), Misty Zatopek (Allen) and Allison Bernard (Derrick).
