She was predeceased by: her parents, Arnold Rode and Freida Rode. She is survived by: her husband Dr. Richard A. Schleiffer, Sr. of Groves; her children, Beverly Schleiffer Reynal (John), Anne M. Schleiffer, Richard A. Schleiffer, Jr. (Phyllis) and Christopher M. Schleiffer; her granddaughters, Katherine Reynal and Caroline Reynal; her brothers, Ronnie Rode (Maureen) and Glen Rode; and her siblings' children, Erica Schleiffer, Kristine Mosdol (Gunnar), Harald Hans-Eric Schleiffer (Eva), Jennifer Rode, Amanda Rode Pennartz (Mike) and Darren Rode (Christina).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Melancon Levingston Funeral Home (1605 Avenue H, Nederland, TX 77627). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Greenlawn Memorial Park (3900 Twin City Hwy, Groves, TX 77619).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to Breakthrough T1D.
