He is survived by: his wife Janet Porter of Port Arthur; his children, Kevin Porter (Joley) of Newton, Kim Renfro of Houston and Shelly Porter Klima (Jimmy Landrum); and his daughter-in-law Jennifer Porter of Hemphill. He is also survived by grandchildren; and his eleven great-grandchildren.
