He was predeceased by: his parents, Edna Mae McLeod Wallace (Van Buren Wallace) and Junior; and his siblings, Lindsey Edward "Buddy" (Martha Wallace), Sidney Albert "Foots" Wallace, Van Buren Wallace, III (Norma) and Mary Evelyn (Emory Reeves).
He is survived by: his brother-in-law Donald (Jimmie Lee LaCour); his children, Dinah (Tommy Smith), Susan (Stan Rodgers) and Bert Wallace (James Bland); his grandchildren, Angie Ramsey, Rhonda (Trent Cameron), Russell Glenn Ramsey II, Drew (Heather Smith) and Alex Ramsey; his great grandchildren, Shea (Lucas Loe), Tony (Katy Hart), Kayleigh Smith, Payton, Tad Payton, Cindy Smith, Annabel Smith, Russell Glenn Ramsey III and Madison Ramsey; and his great great grandchild Miya Loe. He is also survived by five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
