He is survived by : his wife Nicki Amendola of Bedford, Texas; his daughters, Nancy Martin of Hurst and Toni McMurtre (Bryan) of Euless, Texas; his grandsons, Matt McGann, Meier McMurtre, Miller McMurtre and Mike McMurtre; and his siblings, Carmela Ritchie (Wayne) of Virginia, Joe Amendola (Betty) of New York, Emilio Amendola (Darlene) of New York and Annie Amendola of New York.

“The world has lost a very good man. I meet Tony in June of 1970 in Viet Nam. We were hooch mates for 10 months, and a tower observation team for nine months.. Tony was totally devoted husband, honest, straight forward and a friend who always had my six. He loved the old songs , do whop/street corner harmonies, and tolerated my love of rock and roll. We had no trouble communicating and never really had arguments. I visited Toni & Nicci two times in the Bronx, and twice in TX. I'll miss his smile.”
