He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Howard and Gradene Howard. He is survived by: his wife Jan Howard (Crocker) of Bedford, Texas; his sister Shelly Howard VanAller of Hurst, Texas; and his brothers-in-law, Bob Blanchard of Eustace, Texas and Hank Beidleman (Sharon) of Garland, Texas. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
