He was predeceased by : his parents, Condie McKnight and Naomi McKnight; his sister Doris; his daughter-in-law Janis; his grandson Jay; and his great grandchild Jonah.

He is survived by : his wife Betty; his children, Terry McKnight, Kimber Sunday (William), Bridget Barnes (Jerry) and Jeffrey McKnight (Rhetta); and his grandchildren, Nathan McKnight (Desiree), Sally Donoso (Gaston), Kelly Johnson (Andy), Ryan Sunday (Amanda), Chad Sunday (Cayla), Daniel Sunday (Claudia), Allison David (Brad), Nicholas Barnes (Brittany), Sydney Matsko (Ricky), Dylan McKnight (Megan) and Jacob McKnight (Jessica). He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren.
