Annie Kovar Sykora Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 12, 2025, at the age of 78, Annie Kovar Sykora of Beeville, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil G. Kovar and Frances Kovar Sr. (Vesely); her grandparents, Paul P., Julia Kovar (Tkac), Alois John and Anna Vesely (Kutra); her aunts and uncles, Anna (Edward Sklanarik), Mary Vesely, Louise (Henry Janecek), John Vesely, Louis Vesely, Joe John (Edith Vesely), Mary Anne (Maurice Starnes), Eula Mae (Davis Tadlock), Bennie Otto Kovar, Alice (William Harriman) and Tillie (Frank Mulle); and her sister-in-law Sandra Kovar.
She is survived by: her husband Justin J Sykora Jr.; her son Eugene Justin Sykora (Karri); her granddaughters, Natalie Ann and Allie Jean; her son Frank Edward Sykora (Jenny); her grandsons, Daniel Gene, Travis Alvin and Justin Jager; her daughter Justine Ann J. Hruzek, Jr. (Byron); her siblings, Emil Kovar (Helen), Bennie Kovar, Paul Kovar (Glenda) and Josephine Chanek (Johnny); and also Sherry Janis (Kovar). She is also survived by many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law along with numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A rosary was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Hurley Funeral Home (118 W Oaklawn Rd, Pleasanton, TX 78064). A Mass was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church (373 Madero Ave, Charlotte, TX 78011).
