Archie Smith Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Archie Smith of Beeville, Texas, who passed away on July 17, 2025 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parent Cleo Smith (Nation); his siblings, Alice Florence Farris, Carolyn Sue Jackson, Dodson Sinclair Smith Jr., Mitchell Charles "Silkie" Smith and Clarence Edward Smith; and his siblings' children, Teresa Gail McCraig, Cleo Danielle Jackson, Joe "JoJo" Allen Smith and Charles Edward Smith.

He is survived by: his sons, Archie Smith Jr. of Oakland and Gabriel Smith of Houston; his grandson Zachariah "Zach" Smith; his sisters, Essie Raye Langley of Beeville and Christine Smith of Beeville; and the mothers of children, Leticia Renaud and Janie Franco-Smith.

Visitation was held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Galloway & Sons Funeral Home - Beeville (409 N Tyler St, Beeville, TX 78102). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (609 E Gramman St, Beeville, TX 78102). A burial was held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at the St. Rose Cemetery E Hefferman.
