He was predeceased by : his parents, Eliseo Casarez and Sofia Casarez (Martinez); his wife Josefa Casarez; his son Abel Casarez, Jr.; and also Adam Casarez.

He is survived by : his children, Ricky Casarez (Rachel) and Joanna Trevino (Roland); and his siblings, Eva Garcia, Esmeralda Acosta, Anita Falcon and Felia Arciba.
