He was predeceased by: his parents, Miguel Loya and Esther Loya (Perez); and his sisters, Maria Cantu, Consuelo Sanchez and Virginia DeLaGarza.
He is survived by: his wife Palmira "Polly" Loya; his children, Belinda Martinez, Jayson Loya, Richard Loya (Gina), Jiecelle Flores (Frank) and Anna Loya; and his sister Angie Staser. He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
