He was predeceased by : his father Juan Antonio Landin; his wife Rita Bernal Landin; his mother Maria Cantu Huerta; his sister Mary Mendoza; his stepfather Juan Huerta; and his brother-in-law Martinez.

He is survived by : his children, Laura Landin (Alex) of Beeville and John Leonard "Lenny" Landin (Rachel) of San Antonio; his grandchildren, Johnny Landin-Rangel, Lauren Rangel, Ciara Valverde (Jacob) of Beeville, Raelyn Landin, Ashtyn Landin, Brayden Landin of San Antonio and Bryce Gonzales of Beeville; and his great grandchild Zen Krupinski.
