It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Manuela Vega of Beeville, Texas, who passed away on May 24, 2025, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her children, Diego Vega Jr., Rosalinda Posada, Margie Commiato and Raymond Vega. She is also survived by her family, friends.

“From Joby: It has been a pleasure to have known this wonderful person for over 50 years. I have deep gratitude for her for all of the times she would look after my children. Some of my fondest thoughts are of her making hot tortillas in the morning to send me off to work with a full belly. I could bring her a couple of bags of groceries, and somehow she could turn it into what seemed like six bags to feed all her kids. I remember her strong faith in God.
