She was predeceased by: her parents, Preciliano Martinez and Maria Martinez (Ruiz); her husband Ramon T. Munoz, Jr.; her siblings, Olivia Borrego, Leonor Gonzales, Dora Garza, Celestina Gutierrez, Ricardo, Guadalupe and Adan Martinez; her in-laws, Hortensia and Ramon Munoz, Sr.; and her son-in-law Briant Lane Brooks.
She is survived by: her children, Yolanda Mendez (Ricardo), Hortensia Brooks, Sylvia Garza (Billy) and Mario Munoz (Leticia); her sisters, Maria Bonham and Hope Ashton (Robert); and her grandchildren, Avrian Mendez, Ricardo Mendez, Jr., Mario Anthony Munoz, Mia Brooks Saib, Monique Scheurich, Marissa Collier and Ismael Garza. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.
