He was predeceased by: his parents, Lupe L. Perez, Sr. and Rosa Perez, (Martinez); his wife Alicia G. Perez; and his siblings, Manuel Perez, Eloisa Madrid, Alcaria Gallegos and Josepha Casarez.
He is survived by: his children, Willie Perez, Jr., Debbie Ponce (David), Peggy Zertuche (Sir Jim) and Nelly Rose Perez; his brothers, Jesus "Chero" Perez and Lupe Perez; and his grandchildren, Anthony Ponce, Christopher Ponce, Michael Ponce, Eric Willow, Alec Zertuche, William Perez, Michele Garcia, Angel Garcia, Abigail Perez and Alexis Perez. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
