She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert L. Dean and Clara B. Dean; her stepmother Pearl Dean; her siblings, Walter Dean (Joyce), Vern Dean (Jo) and Virginia (Wayne Tatum); and her sister-in-law Sandra Dean.
She is survived by: her daughters, Connie (Troy Massey), Janice (David Keil) and Sharon (Charlie Miller); her husband Billie Wayne Shew; her children, Nancy Haley, Susan Durham and Eric Karsten; her grandchildren, Joy Goodloe, Troy Massey, David Keil, Kelly Behrens, Adam Miller, Kathe Miller, Jaime Hernandez, Elizabeth Robertson, Philip Durham and Kris Karsten; and her brother Ray. She is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren.
