It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Edwin Maury Schorr (Bellaire, Texas), who passed away on December 9, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Yale Schorr and Evelyn Garfinkel Schorr. He is survived by: his brothers, Dr. Jim Schorr and Jerrel Schorr (Arlene); his nieces, Stephanie Ellis (Brandon) and Elizabeth White (Jeff); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Hayden Ellis, Shannon and Nolan White; his godmother Helen Brounes; his friends, Jewish, Unitarian of Jehovah's Witness, Greek, Hindu, Baha'i and Muslim; his caregivers, Pat Wilson, Polly Taylor, Maritza Sandi, Anna Morris and Keisha Mosley; Ray Bednar, Zahid Rizvi, Ahmed and Alfred Lerner.

But he recently suffered from 3 back-to-back infections - bacteremia, COVID, and a urinary tract infection, from which he was unable to recover.
