He was predeceased by: his parents, James O'Dell and Jorene Powell (Tillery); his wife Kay Powell (McDermett); and his son Mike Powell. He is survived by: his children, Alan Powell of Canada, Mark Powell of Belton and Paula Chapman of Belton; and his brother Teddy Powell of Oklahoma. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
