He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter O. McDaniel and Thelma McDaniel (Gieseke); and his brother Winston. He is survived by: his children, Denise Ann (John Jaynes) of Grapevine and Michael David McDaniel (Edna McDaniel) of Flower Mound; his wife Mary Ruth McDaniel (Pass) of Belton; his sons, Carey M. O'Rarden of Cypress and Jeremy (Charity O'Rarden) of Cedar Park, Texas.; his grandchildren, Jessica (Justin Taylor) of Austin, Texas, Ashley (Matthew McCauley) of Lewisville, Texas, Dr. Jennifer Jaynes (Dan Bianculli) of Houston, Texas, Michael D. McDaniel II of Lewisville, Texas and Naomi Grace O'Rarden of Cedar Park, Texas.; and his great grandchildren, Austin Taylor, Olivia Taylor, Georgia Taylor, Wyatt McCauley, Gunnar McCauley, Knox McCauley and Ruby McCauley.
