He was predeceased by: his parents, Price Moon and Velma Moon (Smith); his son Kenneth Moon; his grandson Gerald Harrison; and his siblings, James Elmer Moon, Dalton Moon, Wayne Moon, Doris Petty and Geraldine McMillan.

He is survived by: his wife Rozella Moon (Shorty); his children, Glenn Moon (Nancy), Price Moon (Jane), Cathy Jo Moon and Brenda Dean Huff; his stepchildren, Donnie Butler and Debbie Butler Shepperd; and his siblings, Durwood Moon (Rita) and Gloria Barho (Billy). He is also survived by ten grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dossman Funeral Home (2525 N Main St, Belton, TX 76513). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
