It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Loyd Vandygriff of Ben Franklin, Texas, who passed away on April 28, 2026, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Loyd departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Loyd. Though Loyd may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Vandygriff and Edna Vandygriff (Johnson); and his brother Dr. Torance Olen Vandygriff. He is survived by: his wife Audrey Vandygriff (Shomoh) of Ben Franklin; his daughter Patricia Ford (Deborah Barnes); his sisters, Letha Dee Siders of Watauga, Linda Hudnall (Lonnie) of Paris and Brenda Jetton of Paris; and his brother-in-law Ron Spear of Ben Frankiln. He is also survived by four grandchildren, four great- grandchildren.
