She was predeceased by: her parents, Tomas Chapa and Maria Chapa; her husband Oscar Rivera Sr.; her son-in-law Fidel Cavazos Jr.; her grandson Carlos Rene Cavazos; and her siblings, Emma Viera, Olivia Toeross, Oralia Segura, Tomas Chapa, Rodolfo Segura and Placido Segura.
She is survived by: her children, Oscar Rivera (Ellen Charles) of Benavides, Texas and Mary Lou; and her grandchildren, Orlando Javier Cavazos (Yvonne), Paul Anthony Rivera and April Marie Nunez (Fernando). She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
