He is survived by: his partner Delanie Davis; his children, Joe Don Slayton, Chad Slayton, Justin Hooper, Daniel Gibbons and Deanna Gibbons; his grandsons, Jaxon Stroud, Jett Hooper, Jagger Hooper, Ayden Shaw and Andre Shaw; and his siblings, Betty Brown, Judy Vaughn, Karen Hamilton, Ronnie Gibbons, Dale Crossland and Jacki Vest.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to assist with end-of-life services and to support them during this difficult time.
